Tessa hasn't published a novel yet, her first comes out next summer. I've read some of her short stories, and some do tend to be very bloody/gory. But, most of it's interesting and thought provoking (but definitely not for kids, I say). I know about her through another author, Maggie Stiefvater who wrote Shiver. Tessa's doing a giveaway for Maggie's next book, hence the post.
